Yucca is a shrub native to Central and South America, often used as an ornamental plant and whose stem has medicinal and gastronomic properties. The yucca stem is the third largest source of carbohydrates in the world, and this is because this plant needs very little water to grow, which allows it to grow in almost any conditions. The yucca stem is very similar in taste and shape to the traditional potato.
