Krill Oil Neptune (Ulei Krill) NKO®, 500mg, Now Foods, 60 softgels
Krill oil - this oil is obtained from small marine crustaceans called krill. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids with a high content of EPA and DHA in the form of phospholipids. Therefore, it has a higher biological value and better absorption than fish oil, and therefore less krill oil is needed to provide the same effects.
Eicosapentaenoic acid EPA and docosahexaenoic acid DHA contribute to normal heart function, and DHA also supports brain function and good vision. Krill oil also contains the carotenoid astaxanthin, which is a red pigment found, for example, in salmon or krill, and which is structurally similar to beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A). It is popular mainly due to its positive effects on eye and skin health and protection against oxidative stress.
