Contains Bifidobacterium Infantis M-63, a minimum of 1 billion live cells, a probiotic strain scientifically documented, playing a role in supporting a child's growth, as well as the normal development of their immune system.
Oligosaccharides in breast milk do not directly offer nutritional value to children. They can transit the stomach and small intestine of infants without being altered or consumed. At the level of the distal intestine, oligosaccharides from breast milk are selectively cleaved by species of Bifidobacterium infantis, into nutrients that can be assimilated by children.
Bifidobacterium infantis is among the few bacterial species capable of taking up and metabolizing all oligosaccharides present in breast milk (HMOs). An intestinal flora dominated by this subspecies, Jarro-Dophilus Infant, supports child's growth and development, improving the integrity of the intestinal mucosa and the maturation of the child's immune function. Thus, the symbiotic relationship between oligosaccharides in milk and Bifidobacterium infantis underlies newborn development, feeding and developing the health of the intestinal microbiota before diversification begins.
Bifidobacterium predominates in the intestinal microbiota of breastfed infants and has the beneficial action of accelerating the body's immune response. Jarro-Dophilus Infant is a probiotic with unique abilities to reduce intestinal inflammation. It is naturally found in the oral cavity and gastrointestinal tract and helps maintain a healthy digestive tract.
Jarro-Dophilus Infant Probiotics Drops Benefits
- supports the development of the intestinal microbial flora of newborns and small children, up to the age of 6 months, with increased capacity for binding and colonization at the level of the intestinal mucosa: a competitive advantage for milk oligosaccharides (nutrient substrate for the development of B. infantis colonies) as opposed to other non-pathogenic bacterial species
- supports the reduction of intestinal mucosa permeability to endogenous toxins by promoting the production of mucin and short-chain fatty acids (e.g.: butyric acid) which are the main energy source of the epithelial cells of the colon mucosa
- balances intestinal transit and digestive manifestations such as constipation, diarrhea, bloating or flatulence by supporting the population of the intestinal microbial flora
- supports the reduction of the synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-8, IL-6, IL-1β) involved in triggering an inflammatory response at the digestive level
- normal development of the immune system:
- supports the production of exogenous compounds that promote the maturation of the immune system
- limits the action of endotoxins that trigger immune reactions and maintains the normal level of white blood cells in the lymphoid tissue associated with the intestine, which is part of the immune system (GALT)
- supports the production of the enzyme lactase (beta-galactosidase) involved in the assimilation of lactose and maintains the normal activity of the enzymes own to the epithelial cells of the digestive tract (e.g.: invertase, maltase)
Recommended use
