Complex formula based on Lutein Zeaxanthin and Astaxanthin that helps improve vision.
MaculaPF™ Blue Light Protection (Protective Factors) is a synergistic combination of three key carotenoids to protect the maculae of the eyes against oxidative stress, blue light from all types of screens, LED lighting and sunlight. The macula is responsible for focus and color.
MaculaPF contain a unique blend of protective antioxidants essential for healthy vision. When taken daily, these nutrients help maintain vision in those at risk of age-related macular degeneration and combat harmful environmental effects and nutritional deficiencies.
Our eyes need protection from the harmful effects of the sun, pollution and nutritional deficiencies. MaculaPF supports healthy vision with 3 protective nutrients. It helps maintain vision in degenerative conditions of the vårstä-related macula, the area of the eye responsible for central detailed vision that is used during abuse, such as reading.
MaculaPF combines to support night vision, astaxanthin, the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin to protect the lens and retina from UV and blue light damage. Together, these nutrients are used to maintain healthy visual processes and protect the eyes from damage.
Astaxanthin Benefits
Astaxanthin acts on the level of small blood vessels with positive effects for the heart, brain, nervous system and eyes. The most important antioxidant action of Astaxanthin is at the level of the mitochondrion, which is the engine of the cell, the one that produces the energy necessary for its functioning. Compared to other antioxidants, Astaxanthin has the greatest ability to annihilate those free radicals with "singlet oxygen".
Astaxanthin can cross the barrier between the blood and the brain, it plays a very important role for everything related to brain activity, protecting the brain nervous system from the harmful effects of oxidative stress. Therefore, Astaxanthin is useful in Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or to reduce the sequelae caused by a vascular accident. Given that Astaxanthin easily reaches the small capillary vessels that feed the eye, it can complement and therefore synergistically associate with Lutein and Zeaxanthin.
Lutein Benefits
Lutein is an antioxidant that is part of the carotenoid family, a type of phytonutrients, i.e. chemical substances found in plant cells. Basically, carotenoids are what give the vibrant colors of fruits and vegetables, colors that vary from green or deep red, to orange and shades of yellow.
Lutein together with zeaxanthin are the only carotenoids that accumulate in the human retina. These phytonutrients are concentrated especially in the area of the macula (located in the dorsal part of the eye), which is essential for vision because it represents the point with the clearest vision. Because of their location, lutein and zeaxanthin are known as macular pigments.
The two compounds mentioned above have a strong antioxidant effect, protecting the eyes against harmful free radicals from the environment, such as solar radiation and blue light. It is considered that the decrease in the concentrations of these antioxidants at the level of the macula can, over time, affect the health of the eyes.
Zeaxanthin Benefits
Zeaxanthin is one of the most common carotenoid vitamins in nature, famous for its antioxidant properties, but also because it pigments a number of foods such as saffron, corn or red pepper. Most of the time, zeaxanthin is associated with lutein, this is because they are often found together in food, but also because they have a series of beneficial effects for the body.
"Blue light" is part of the visible spectrum of colors, being present in sunlight, but also in artificial light, especially that emitted by LED bulbs. Likewise, the screens of digital devices (telephone, television, laptop) emit blue light. What is worrying, however, is that the human eye is not able to protect itself from this light, which penetrates the cornea and reaches the retina directly.
Over time, this blue light attacks the cells of the retina and thus macular degeneration occurs, which is the main cause of vision loss. The good news is, however, that zeaxanthin, along with lutein and astaxanthin, can protect the eyes from the negative effects of blue light. At the level of the retina, zeaxanthin blocks the passage of blue light to the retina, thus reducing oxidative stress at the eye level, and therefore the risk of vision problems.
Macula PF, Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Astaxanthin Benefits
- improving vision, maintaining eye health and visual acuity:
- maintains the normal functioning of the retina, lens and macula through the action of anthocyanosides (antioxidants)
- supports the blood flow at the eye level and eye health through the intake of antioxidants
- offers support against the action of ultraviolet radiation at eye level
- maintains the integrity of the blood vessels in the retina against the manifestations determined by aging or an increased level of glucose in the blood
- maintains visual acuity at night and the ability to distinguish colors
- supporting the integrity of cells and cellular components by maintaining normal oxidative processes
- maintaining the health of the eye system through the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier:
- supports capillary blood flow and ocular resistance
- maintains visual acuity and accommodation at a distance, but also the ability to focus on close objects
- protects retinal cells against UV radiation
