Royal Jelly is a gelatinous substance synthesized by bees to feed the matcha and larvae. Chemical analysis of Royal Jelly shows that its composition includes water, carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Although its precise chemical composition is still unknown, its health benefits are attributed to the unique proteins and fatty acids it contains.

There are nine glycoproteins and two fatty acids: trans-10-hydroxy-2-decenoic and 10-hydroxy-decanoic. Several of the B-complex vitamins and some trace elements are included in the composition of Royal Jelly.
